AJD Angels of Hope Foundation will be having our food booth with delicious Filipino signature dish lumpia and pancit at Square Tomatoes Craft Fair on February 2, 2013 Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Charity event to help local and international children
The AJD Angels of Hope, who are hosting their third annual Charitable Giving Back, added an international relief effort to the event, which will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. James Church Memorial Hall, 1275 B St. Tickets were distributed to all elementary schools to benefit children in the Davis schools who are participants in the free and reduced-price lunch program. Additional tickets may be available; call Zita Demaree at 530-763-7087.
The nonprofit is coordinating its effort to provide care packages with nonperishable foods, clothes, toys, school supplies, baby products and other accessories that will bring smiles to these children locally and internationally.
The organization also helps to provide a medical and dental free clinic, scholarships and child sponsorships through its partnership with Can+Hear Marco Emmanuel Charity.
For those not attending Saturday’s event, there are drop boxes for toys and canned goods at First Northern Bank, 434 Second St., and the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. Those who would like to make a monetary donations to the Typhoon Haiyan Relief Operation Fund should contact Demaree at email@example.com or 530-753-9069.
I should not forget to thanks our donor that help our 2013 FUN FAIR possible. The monetary sponsorship of Odd Fellows Lodge and Rebekahs Lodge, gift card from Safeway and Food Coops, groceries from Trader Joe’s and hundreds of bagels from Noah’s Bagels that feed the volunteers and even the homeless at the church and Sunday fair.
Our charities are raising funds to benefit the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, a category 5 super-typhoon that ripped through the middle of Philippines on November 8, 2013. With sustained wind speeds of up to 250 km per hour 165 mph bringing death and destruction to millions of Filipinos. The scale of damage left in its wake was shocking!

The AJD Angels of Hope Foundation will host a 2013 Fun Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Davis Community Church, 412 C St. in downtown Davis.
The event, presented in partnership with UC Davis student organizations AJD Angels of Hope Club, Kappa Gamma Delta, VN Cares and more will include a mini carnival, food concessions, live music, dance performances, arts and crafts, games and activities, a silent auction and raffles. Watch the UC Davis Liquid Hotplates and The Spokes Capella singers, Mga Kapatid Vintage Dance, Mga Kapatid Modern and Mga Kapatid Choir perform live. Suggested donations of $5 and donations beyond that are welcome.
AJD Angels of Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides the basic necessities of food, clothing, toys and school supplies to underprivileged children locally and in the Philippines. The foundation also supports a feeding program, medical and dental free clinic, scholarships and child sponsorships for children in Cebu, Philippines.
With the recent Haiyan Typhoon calamities that lost more than 10,000 lives in the Philippines and millions homeless, your humanitarian monetary and in-kind donations is appreciated. You can drop off canned goods, clothing, blankets, toys, school supplies, medicines at the event. Our AJD Angels team will also be available at the Farmers Market booth Saturday morning before the event.
